Doc's Chili Mix

This Texas style Chili Mix is inspired by a recent collaboration with my father, Doc Barnard! It has all the rich notes that a good chili should have and has a bit of a kick to it! I used dried red chilies that were toasted and then ground into fresh chili powder which allows all the natural floral flavors of the chilies to shine. With traditional seasonings like onion, garlic, and cumin, it is then rounded out with hints of cayenne, cocoa, & coffee that add to it's deep rich flavor! (It’s also a great taco seasoning that can be used on meats or veggies alike to add that Mexican flavor profile!)
